Questions, answered
Clear, honest answers to the questions we’re most often asked - so you can plan your trip with confidence and without pressure.
What is a ‘travel studio’ and how is it different from a travel agent?
A travel studio focuses on design first. Rather than selling pre-set packages, we take time to understand how your family actually travels - your pace, priorities, and what matters most - and design a trip around that. We can then take care of booking if you’d like us to, but the itinerary always comes first. It’s a more considered, personal approach than a traditional travel agency model.
Why do you focus on ‘fewer places done better’?
Travelling with children often works best when there’s space to slow down. Instead of packing too much in, we design trips that balance experiences with rest, flexibility, and simple logistics. This usually means fewer bases, shorter travel days, and time to actually enjoy where you are - for both adults and kids.
What is your pricing structure?
We charge a flat planning fee, based on the length of your trip: £99 for up to 4 days, £149 for 5-7 days, £199 for 8-10 days, and £249 for 11-14 days. For trips of 15 days or more, we provide bespoke pricing. This covers discovery, research, and the design of a fully bespoke itinerary. Optional add-ons include fast-track delivery within 48 hours, multi-country planning, and a printed itinerary sent by post. Once your itinerary is complete, we can also book flights, accommodation, and experiences on your behalf if you’d like us to.
Are my bookings protected if I book through the studio?
Yes. When we book travel on your behalf, we use trusted, established suppliers, and any flights or packages booked are protected in line with industry regulations, such as ATOL where applicable. We’ll always explain how your booking is protected before you commit.
Do you only plan trips for families with young children?
While experience-led family travel is our specialism, we design itineraries for all types of travellers who value a considered, high-quality approach. Whether it is a couple’s city break or a multi-generational trip, our process remains the same: we shape our recommendations around your specific energy levels, interests, and practical needs to ensure the trip feels right for you.
Can’t I just book these things myself on Google?
You absolutely can - and many people do. What we offer is judgement, structure, and calm. We help you avoid over-planning, poor pacing, and choices that look good online but don’t work well in reality - especially with children. For many families, the value is in saving time, reducing stress, and ending up with a trip that genuinely feels enjoyable rather than exhausting.
Do you use the same ‘hidden gems’ and ‘hacks’ seen on social media?
No. Our recommendations are based on real trips and lived experience, not trends or recycled content. We prioritise places that consistently work well for families - even if they’re not the most talked-about online.
What is the first step in working with Voyă?
You start by sharing a few details about your trip, then booking a short discovery call. From there, we’ll design a bespoke itinerary around your family. You can then decide whether you’d like us to handle the booking as well. There’s no pressure - just a clear, considered process.
